Why are coaching skills critical for managers and leaders of today’s organizations?

  1. Recent brain science studies clearly show us that ‘telling’ people what to do doesn’t work! Coaching skills are an integral key to unleashing people’s capacity for self expression and development, and providing the much needed positive reinforcement and encouragement along the way. Bring it on!

What we see here in Russia, and I believe the same is true globally, that managers tend to instruct their people on every little step and strive to controll even basic processes, and that makes people… little. That takes away resposibility, motivation and joy. Most of us (or even all?) are creators, and we want space and freedom to perform at work, and coaching culture in organizations provides opportunities for people to use their abilities and talents to serve clients and companies the best possible way. And it makes them happy at the working place. I think coaching brings back the sense of work.
